Dramatic if nothing else. Im not sure on that chart why its suddenly failing but in fundamental terms a weak stock market needs a fairly strong currency I think
30% of the FTSE100 are commodity companies and there are lots of international companies with international assets and foreign income. So for the value of these companies to half requires global recession, deflation and in my opinion a strong uk currency in order that foreign earnings do not overly compensate the worth of these british listed earnings.
UK could suffer very badly but the FTSE 100 isnt about britain any more, its a dynamic index
